Made in New Mexico Westerns - The Last Shootout This will be the fifth and final installment of the series, with the other four parts of the series having been screened at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum over the last two years. In case you missed those (and it doesn't matter, since the format is the same, offering different movies in each part of the series), Berg has compiled film clips from about 15 different westerns, starting with a 1912 oddity starring silent film star Mary Pickford and continuing up to present day. After each short clip is shown, he then does live narration, offering tidbits about the film, such as where it was shot, any historical reference, and sometimes even if it is worth your time to see the entire movie that the clip is from. Audience participation is strongly encouraged. Some of Hollywood's most noted actors, besides Pickford will make an 'appearance' on the big screen, including Gregory Peck, Robert Duvall, Burt Lancaster, and maybe even Jerry Lewis, of all people. There will also be some faces that you may wish you have never seen! This presentation is part of the Museum's monthly speaker series. Admission is a suggested donation of $2. |
