Whether you enjoy animals, crafts, or outdoor fun, we have a camp for you. Discover nature, gardening, archaeology, animals, weaving, and many more exciting activities. Spend your summer with us and learn all about the different aspects of life here in New Mexico. Registration begins May 7.

Camps fill up quickly and pre-registration and payment up front is required.

Farm Animal Friends: June 5, 6, 7 (THIS CAMP IS FULL AND REGISTRATION IS CLOSED)
10 AM to 12 PM (Ages 5-8)
$30 for non-members, $25 for members.
Children are invited to meet the animals that live at the Museum. We will learn all about beef cows, dairy cows, sheep, and ponies. Each day will include story time and a craft. Deadline to register is June 1.

Gardening Fun: June 12, 13, 14
10 AM to 12 PM (Ages 5-8)
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
Come get your hands dirty and learn all about gardening. Participants will go on a scavenger hunt in the Museum greenhouse, make their compost, and plant their own seeds to take home and watch grow. Deadline to register is June 8.

Green Thumb Greenhouse: June 19, 20, 21
9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Ages 9-12)
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
Come join us in learning about plants, soils, and gardening. We will get to know plants in the Museum greenhouse, test soils, and plant some of our own seeds and starts. Students will get to build a mini-greenhouse. Deadline to register is June 15. Please bring a lunch every day.

Can You Dig It?: June 26, 27, 28
9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Ages 9-12)
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
Join us for a fun-filled exploration into the past! We will excavate a dig site looking for artifacts and explore the ways in which archeologists learn about ancient people. Deadline to register is June 22. Please bring a lunch every day.

Learning about Nature: July 17, 18, 19
9:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Ages 8-12)
$35 for non-members, $30 for members
Do you love exploring the outdoors? Join us as we learn about the wildlife and plants around the Museum. Participants will go on hikes, conduct daily weather monitoring, dissect owl pellets, and create recyclable art. Deadline to register is July 13. Please bring a lunch every day.

Wool Creations: July 24, 25, 26
9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (8-12)
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
Learn the history of the Navajo Churro Sheep and find out the steps in processing wool. Participants will be able to learn the basic skills for carding, felting, spinning, and weaving. Deadline to register is July 20. Please bring a lunch every day.

Refund Policy:
• 80% refund will be issued for cancellations received four weeks prior to camp start date.
• 50% refund will be issued for cancellations received three weeks prior to camp start date.
• Cancellations received two weeks or less prior to the camp start date will receive no refund. NOTE: disruptive children will be dismissed without a refund.
Payment:
• In person with cash or check made out to the Friends of NMFRHM or online with a credit card at https://friendsnmfarmandranchmuseum.com/ (Friends of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum website should be up and running to take payment sometime in May).
