Come experience the artworks of beloved Santa Fe artist Gustave Baumann on the Wonders on Wheels mobile museum!
The bus will be at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 6.Gustave Baumann created stunning woodblock prints of New Mexico landscapes and colorful marionettes of New Mexico folk characters. The exhibit, Hand of an Artist, Heart of New Mexico, is sponsored by the New Mexico Museum of Art.
Come meet Freckles, Baumann’s mischievous marionette. Immerse yourself in Baumann’s many New Mexico landscapes and join us for a hands-on activity.
Wonders on Wheels is a program of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. We bring museum exhibits to rural schools, libraries, and celebrations.
