It’s that time of year again! Time to take advantage of our large outdoor campus and wonderful indoor facilities by attending one or more of our annual summer camps at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum!

Whether you enjoy animals, drawing, or outdoor fun, we have a camp for you. Discover nature, heritage cooking, painting, roping, wrangling, weaving, and many more exciting activities. Spend your summer with us and learn all about the different aspects of life here in New Mexico. Registration begins May 1.

Little Farmers Storytime: June 6, 7, and 8
9:30 AM to 11:00 AM (Ages 4-6)
$25 for non-members, $20 for members
Come enjoy a story each day related to farming. Participants will visit a part of the museum followed by a craft that connects to the theme of the story. Adults are welcome to attend with their children. Deadline to register is June 1.

Happy Scribbles: June 13, 14, and 15
9:30 AM to 11:30 AM (Ages 7-9)
$35 for non-members, $30 for members
Children will draw, paint and craft works of art. Each day they will create new types of artwork. Classes will be held both indoors and outdoors. Deadline to register is June 8.

Express Yourself!: June 13, 14, and 15
1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Ages 10-12)
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
Young artists will learn the different mediums and techniques used in creating art. Participants will use their creativity to draw or paint their masterpiece. Classes will be held indoors and outdoors. Deadline to register is June 8.

Broncos, Ropes & Spurs: June 20, 21, and 22
10 AM to Noon (Ages 5-8)
$35 for non-members, $30 for members
Do you have what it takes to become a cowpoke? In this camp you will make your cowboy attire (hat, vest, cuffs), design a bandana, ride a pony, and learn how to rope cattle! Deadline to register is June 15.

Greenhouse Extravaganza: June 27, 28, and 29
9:30 AM to Noon (Ages 9-12)
$35 for non-members, $30 for members
Come join us in learning about the different plants our Museum greenhouse has to offer. Participants will learn about different plants, create their own greenhouse, and learn about the importance of water here in the desert. Deadline to register is June 22.

Can You Dig It?: July 11, 12, and 13
10 AM to 1:00 PM (Ages 8-12)
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
Join us for a fun-filled exploration into the past! We will excavate a dig site looking for artifacts and explore the ways in which archeologists learn about ancient people. Deadline to register is July 6. Please bring a lunch every day.

Nature Gone Wild: July 18, 19, and 20
9 AM to 12:30 PM (Ages 8-12)
$35 for non-members, $30 for members
Do you love exploring the outdoors? Join us as we explore bees, lizards, birds, and much more! Participants will go on hikes while learning about different wildlife and plants found in the area. Deadline to register is July 13. Please bring a lunch every day.

Animal Planet: July 25, 26, and 27
10 AM to Noon (Ages 5-8)
$30 for non-members, $25 for members
Do you love animals? Each day participants will meet and learn how to care for different animals. Animal guests include a chinchilla, bunny, ducks, chickens, turtles, and much more! Deadline to register is July 20.
